READY,SET,GO!

My wonderful Weimaraner dog, Sasha, eventually became the model for the Sasha of this story. I did change her color from silver to pale yellow for the sake of the color balance, but otherwise that's pretty much her.
The first sketches for the story were done in 1983 and put aside. 13 years passed before the book was published. And, for 13 years we were lucky enough to have the real Sasha around. What a joy she was! She died on July 15, 2003.

Reviews:

*An "I CAN READ BOOK"

"Winter is the setting for Stadler's colorful cartoon drawings in this I Can Read Book, and all the slapstick takes place in the snow...New readers will cheer for the underdog who proves herself a hero."
